Choosing a school is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make for your child. We make our part of it the easy part – clear, personal, with no pressure.
A clear and supported path to joining Castle Park
Our admissions process
We aim to keep admissions clear and personal, with guidance at every step.
-
01Register your interest
Start by completing a short enquiry form so we can understand your child’s age and your preferred start date – this helps us point you in the right direction from the start.
-
02Schedule a visit
Visiting the school is an important step. You’ll have the opportunity to see the school in action, meet members of staff and get a feel for daily life at Castle Park. We keep visits personal and allow time for questions so you can decide if it feels right.
-
03Taster Day / Ready for School Assessment
Depending on your child’s age, we may invite them to spend time in the classroom. This is a relaxed opportunity for them to settle in, meet teachers and take part in the school day. It also gives us a chance to understand your child a little before they start, so their first day feels familiar rather than new.
-
04Offer and next steps
Following your visit and your child’s time with us, we will be in touch with next steps. If a place is offered, we will guide you through enrolment, key dates and how we support a smooth start.
Clear, genuinely inclusive fees
Castle Park’s fees are designed to make family life simpler. Most of what your child needs – and much of what families often manage outside school – is already included. This means fewer extras, less juggling and more consistency for pupils.

Angela Trolese
Castle Park is a school where children are known well, learning is taken seriously, and family life is made simpler.
We offer a strong academic education, delivered by experienced teachers and specialists, within a calm and supportive environment. Small class sizes mean children are seen, supported and challenged appropriately, while a wide range of opportunities – academic, creative, physical and social – sit naturally within the school day.
Parents often tell us that what stands out most is not just what their child learns, but how settled and confident they become.

Frequently asked questions
-
Who thrives at Castle Park?
Pupils who enjoy structure, encouragement and feeling known tend to thrive here. Castle Park suits families who value clear communication, consistency and a school that supports the whole family.
-
How do pupils settle?
Pupils are supported closely in the early weeks, with routines, visual structure and familiar adults. Parents are kept informed, and most children settle quickly once they feel secure.
-
Is Castle Park academically strong?
Yes. We follow the Irish Primary Curriculum and extend it through specialist teaching, high expectations and strong pastoral support.
-
Will my child be challenged?
Pupils are supported and challenged appropriately within small classes, allowing teachers to respond to individual needs.
-
Are there many extra costs?
Very few. Most activities, trips and resources are included. We are upfront about optional extras.
-
Do siblings get priority?
Yes – siblings of current pupils are given priority consideration during admissions.
-
Is Castle Park a private school?
Yes. Castle Park is a fee-paying school, though we describe ourselves as independent, and the difference matters. We are a not-for-profit charity, governed by a volunteer Board made up of largely parents and former parents. There are no owners or shareholders so all income is reinvested back into the school. We follow the Irish Primary Curriculum, and our 1904 Bursary helps make a place possible for local families who might not otherwise have the option.
Our 1904 Bursary
The 1904 Bursary is our way of ensuring that a Castle Park education is within reach for families in our local community who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
We look beyond academics alone. Selection is based on family circumstances and a child’s potential to thrive here – to feel settled, supported and able to make the most of everything on offer.
- Discreet, confidential process for families
- Focused on potential, not prior achievement
- A long-term commitment, with plans to grow
