Fundraising for The Caroline Foundation
Over the last two weeks we have been collecting coins in aid of The Caroline Foundation which supports cancer research. The whole School also recognised World Cancer Day on 4th February by wearing coloured ribbons, some of the children were very creative making their own brooches, hair decorations and rosettes.
Ms Walsh, Leader of Numeracy, took the opportunity to use all the coins collected for some mathematical exercises, mostly involving estimation, before the money was forwarded on to The Caroline Foundation. The coins were sorted into denominations and then the children took turns to estimate how many of each coin had been collected.
