Pre-Prep’s Forest Schools adventure begins
During the first two weeks of term we have been learning how to keep safe in the woods by marking boundaries. We have also learned the Forest Schools crow call. During free play the leader makes the call and the children echo it to answer before quickly gathering together back into a group. They have enjoyed their free-play time in the woods, playing Eagle Eye (a type of Hide & Seek) and also building Stick Towers. The children are looking forward to having fun creating dens and covering them with sticks and leaves. We will be making nature mobiles from fallen treasures found in the woods, foraging for berries & seeds, walking blindfold along a designated rope line and playing many nature related games.
