Some News from the Pre-Prep Department

The children in Pre-Prep 3 have spent the last few weeks exploring their new topic “Fairy & Traditional Tales”. They are enjoying discovering the common themes within the stories and dressing up in the Role Play area. They are learning how the tales have altered over time, sharing the versions they’ve heard, and are starting to come up with their own alternate endings for some of the more popular traditional tales. In Numeracy the children have been learning about Data Handling, Measurement, and Money. They have had great fun exploring the more practical element to our topics this term and can still be found measuring the corridor or classroom with their bodies, cubes, and other non-standard units of measurement. The children are also working with Mathletics during ICT time and have had great fun following the exercises that correspond with the strands being covered. We have an action-packed few weeks ahead and look forward to making a few more memories with the children before they move on to the Prep Department.
