Orchestra Congratulations to Castle Park Orchestra, who took home the Miller Cup for Primary School Orchestra at this year’s Wesley Music Festival. The Orchestra rehearses every Friday during morning break, and the members have been busy learning to follow a conductor and play together as an ensemble.

Senior Choir It has been an exciting term for Forms V and VI. Whilst busily preparing for their wonderful performances in The Pinafore Pirates, they also found time to learn the electrifying song Lightning! for this year’s Wesley Music Festival. The adjudicator gave some lovely comments and complimented them on their diction and energy. Well done for this and also for their lovely performance in this year’s Confirmation ceremony.

Music Ensembles Congratulations to all the boys and girls who took part in the Rathdown Music Festival earlier this month. Both our String Ensemble and Wind Ensemble took part in the Instrumental Ensemble competition and took home both First Prize (String Ensemble) and Second Prize/Highly Commended (Wind Ensemble). Many thanks to Ms. Suzanne Savage and Mr. Martin Smutny for their continued support of these ensembles.

Competition Wins & Music Exams Well done to all the boys and girls who have recently taken part in many Music Festivals, competitions and examinations. Many congratulations to Quincy Tilles VIP, who took home prizes in both the Arklow Music Festival and the Feis Ceoil for performances on violin and voice.
