All-Ireland Swimming Championships Sunday 12th February

We had 12 swimmers who qualified and competed at the All-Ireland Championships. It was a long day for all involved but Castle Park pupils were a credit to the school as they had prepared and worked so hard for this event. Our younger pupils got the day off to a flying start swimming exceptionally well and all achieving Personal Bests on the day. Our Girls’ Relay team finished 5th which is a great result and knocked 8 seconds off their time from the Leinster Competition.

Once again our Girls’ Relay team swam out of their skin to shave seconds off their Leinster competition time. The afternoon session was very long but once again our boys and girls stepped up and achieved more PBs in their events. One of the team stormed to success in both her individual events U11 50M Frontcrawl & Backcrawl. Taking home 2 gold medals as well as smashing her PBs.

Very Well done to all competitors, on qualifying first of all and for performing so well on such a big occasion.
